CPLP mission is expected to travel to Guinea-Bissau in December, informed Timorese Foreign Minister

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Timor-Leste announced that a CPLP mission will visit Guinea-Bissau in December. Initially planned for November, the mission was postponed due to scheduling conflicts. The Guinean authorities have agreed to the mission, which aims to address the political situation in the country, suspended from CPLP activities since December 2025 following a military coup. Timor-Leste, currently holding the CPLP presidency, is coordinating with member states to finalize the details of the visit. The next CPLP summit location and presidency remain undecided.
