Strong appeal from Tusk to Nawrocki. "One cannot take the state into slavery"
During a press briefing in Hanoi, Donald Tusk addressed concerns regarding the lack of a full ambassadorial nomination affecting Polish businesses in Vietnam. He emphasized that the absence of a formally appointed ambassador complicates diplomatic relations and may hinder economic interests. Tusk plans to appeal to President Karol Nawrocki to expedite the nomination process, arguing that political differences should not impede diplomatic effectiveness. The ongoing dispute over ambassadorial appointments has persisted since 2024, with over 50 ambassadors dismissed and replacements lacking full ambassador status. Tusk highlighted the importance of strengthening diplomatic representation as Poland and Vietnam elevate their relationship to a strategic partnership, which could benefit Polish companies entering the Vietnamese market.
