Moedas attacks PS for spending 885 million in Lisbon

The Mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas, announced that 1,243 municipal housing units have been built since he took office in 2021, representing 36% of the total 3,444 keys delivered in the last five years. He criticized the previous PS administration for constructing only 155 homes from 2011 to 2021. Moedas questioned the PS's use of €885 million from real estate sales and airport land, asking why it wasn't invested in housing. He highlighted ongoing projects aimed at unlocking over 250 hectares for new housing developments, although these have yet to be executed. Moedas has focused on the number of keys delivered without specifying how many are newly built or rehabilitated.
