Monsaraz will simulate human exploration of Mars in April
From April 5 to 18, Monsaraz will host a simulation of human exploration on Mars, led by João Lousada from the European Space Agency. The initiative, organized by the Austrian Space Forum, includes six analog astronauts from various countries testing technologies and scientific methods under Mars-like conditions. They will conduct 17 scientific experiments while communicating with a control center in Vienna, simulating a 10-minute communication delay. The project involves collaboration with several institutions, including the University of Évora and the Portuguese company Tekever, specializing in space technology.
