Amount transferred per year by the State to SIRESP remains "always below" 26ME

The president of SIRESP stated that the annual compensation from the state is always below 26 million euros, highlighting a significant decrease in costs since 2022. He explained that the compensation varies between 19 and 26 million euros, covering operational costs and maintenance of emergency communication infrastructure. Viegas Nunes emphasized the reduction in costs per user, which dropped from over 3,000 euros to around 250 euros this year. He addressed criticisms regarding oversight of the compensation, asserting that a thorough scrutiny process exists. Additionally, he mentioned challenges faced by SIRESP due to funding issues and the recent dissolution of the Operations and Management Center, which he was not consulted about.
