Amount transferred annually by the State to SIRESP remains "always below" 26 million euros

The president of SIRESP stated that the annual state compensation remains below 26 million euros, emphasizing a significant reduction in costs since 2022. He explained that the compensation, which varies yearly, is used to pay six companies for the operation and maintenance of the emergency communication system. Viegas Nunes highlighted a decrease in user costs from over 3,000 euros to around 250 euros this year. He addressed accusations of lack of oversight regarding the compensation and clarified that validation is based on periodic reports. He also mentioned financial difficulties due to a halt in funding since July and criticized the recent dissolution of the Operations and Management Center without consultation.
