Moscow claimed an attack on Ukrainian energy facilities

Russian forces reported missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities in Vinnitsia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv. The Russian Defense Ministry stated that these strikes targeted energy infrastructure supplying electricity to military industries and Ukrainian Armed Forces. Specific attacks included the Ladyzhyn thermal power plant in Vinnitsia and several thermal plants in Dnipropetrovsk. Additionally, Odessa's port infrastructure and vessels were also hit. Russia's invasion of Ukraine began in 2014 with the annexation of Crimea, followed by a large-scale attack in 2022.
