Moscow has ramped up its refineries after the Trump-Putin pact was signed

Moscow is increasing diesel production to meet commitments made in an agreement between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. Following Trump's announcement to suspend sanctions on Russian diesel, Russia can export up to 300,000 tons initially, with further increases planned. Diesel production fell to 160,000 tons daily in early October but rose to 180,000 tons after new export quotas were implemented. Domestic consumption has decreased, allowing for significant export potential. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that Russia could boost diesel exports to 3-3.5 million tons monthly by year-end, aligning with previous levels. Trump's actions aim to lower fuel prices ahead of the midterm elections.
