Motorák that learned from failures. Kvatro still runs today and it's a shame there aren't more of them
After the failure of the Chrochtadlo project, Vagónka Studénka developed a new four-axle motor vehicle called Kvatro, which successfully replaced older models. Initially planned in the 1970s, the Chrochtadlo project resulted in only two prototypes, leading to the creation of the Kvatro in the 1980s. Despite challenges, including a change in the transmission system, Kvatro began operations in 1993 and proved effective in regional services. Although only 37 units were produced, Kvatro adapted well to various terrains and worked alongside other rolling stock. Its design evolved, leading to compatible trailers and control cars, enhancing its operational capabilities.
