MP blocks evidence from searches at PJ in the Aida Freitas case

The Public Prosecutor's Office has blocked the judge's access to evidence collected during recent searches related to the case of PJ inspector Aida Freitas. This decision is based on the ongoing investigation involving Carlos Cabreiro, which is under judicial secrecy. The prosecutor emphasized that sharing information could compromise the investigation's integrity. The judge had previously postponed the trial to obtain relevant information from the investigation, which is linked to the Football Leaks case. Documents discovered raised doubts about the legality of surveillance conducted in 2015, with inconsistencies noted in the documentation provided by Aníbal Pinto. The trial is set to resume on November 20, pending a request for rescheduling due to the defendants' prior commitments.
