A man dies after being attacked by wasps while clearing a forest track in Ourense

A worker in a job training program in Larouco, Ourense, died after being stung by wasps while clearing brush on a forest road. The 56-year-old victim, originally from Pontevedra, had been living in Manzaneda and was working with colleagues when he encountered a wasp nest. The incident occurred around noon, prompting his coworkers to call emergency services, which dispatched a medical helicopter. Despite the arrival of medical personnel, they were unable to save him. Authorities, including the Civil Guard and local emergency services, were also notified.
