Municipalities want to help the State increase public housing

Municipalities in Portugal are committed to assisting the state in increasing public housing availability. They are collaborating with entities to reprogram priorities under Portugal2030 and streamline bureaucratic processes. ANMP president Pedro Pimpão emphasized the importance of increased funding for housing, particularly for controlled-price housing. He noted that municipalities are responsible for a significant portion of public investment in health, education, and housing, currently accounting for 40% of national public investment in these areas. The ANMP advocates for faster and simplified processes to enhance public housing efforts.
