Musk considers merging his companies. "The merger has many advantages"

Elon Musk discussed the potential merger of Tesla and SpaceX during a financial analysts' call, citing synergies in chip development and AI. He acknowledged that while he believes the merger could be beneficial, there are no guarantees as committees have yet to agree on terms. Musk, who has a conflict of interest, does not sit on these committees, and any decision would ultimately rest with Tesla shareholders, requiring at least 50% approval. Following his comments, shares of both companies rose significantly. Tesla is valued at approximately $1.5 trillion, while SpaceX is valued at $2 trillion, making this potential merger one of the largest in history. Despite recent revenue growth from SpaceX's Starlink, the company remains unprofitable, having lost $1.1 billion this year.
