An AfD politician was fined in Germany for a poster evoking Nazi arm gestures

Wilko Möller, an AfD member of the Brandenburg state parliament, was fined €11,600 for a campaign poster resembling Nazi salutes. The Federal Court upheld the ruling after Möller's appeal was rejected. The poster depicted a man and woman raising their arms above three children, reminiscent of the Hitler salute. Möller was aware of this resemblance and printed around 50 copies for display in Frankfurt (Oder). The court found him guilty of using symbols associated with unconstitutional organizations, imposing a fine based on a daily rate for 100 days. A penalty exceeding 90 days is considered a criminal record in Germany.
