Lőrinc Nacsa submits a budget amendment of 300 million forints for Transcarpathia

Lőrinc Nacsa highlighted the difficult situation of the Hungarian community in Transcarpathia, living under war conditions since 2014-15. He noted that, thanks to Hungarian state support, no local institutions have closed despite the challenges. He specifically mentioned the Transcarpathian Hungarian Theater, where female actors are taking on male roles due to conscription and a lack of men. Nacsa announced a proposal for a 300 million HUF budget amendment to support the Transcarpathian Hungarian Teachers' Association, aiding schools in adapting to new nationality education laws. He criticized the budget plan for reducing funding for Transcarpathian social programs from 2 billion HUF to 780 million HUF.
