There will be a big change on the Kéktúra route: the terminus is moving.

Next autumn, the National Blue Trail will connect with the Alföld Blue Trail, making the Blue Circle fully traversable for the first time. The eastern endpoint of the National Blue Trail will move from Hollóháza to Sátoraljaújhely, where it will join the Alföld Blue Trail. Previously, the Blue Circle was not completely walkable due to differing endpoints. The National Blue Trail will remain on its current route until autumn 2027, after which the endpoint will change. New stamping locations will be established in Rostalló and Telkibánya, while the stamping location in Vágáshuta will be discontinued. The new sections will add over 30 km to the trail, but the total distance will only increase by 8 km. Hikers who complete the section between István-kúti hunting lodge and Hollóháza before the changes will not need to return after the modifications take effect. The Hungarian Hiking Association will regularly remind hikers of the upcoming changes until 2027.
