The lowest possible salary. Councilors decided on Łukasz Gibała's remuneration

The Krakow City Council proposed a maximum salary for the new mayor, Łukasz Gibała, but he amended it to a lower amount due to the city's debt. Gibała's proposed salary includes reduced functional and special allowances compared to the original plan. After amendments, his gross monthly salary will be 18,587 PLN. Gibała was elected in early elections following the recall of the previous mayor, Aleksander Miszalski. He won with 62.12% of the votes against Monika Piątkowska, achieving a voter turnout of 44.27%. Gibała is a city councilor and has a background in academia and politics.
