In January, Poland will welcome its first MQ-9B SkyGuardian drones, enhancing its military capabilities. The Ministry of National Defense signed a contract for three drones worth $310 million, set to replace the leased MQ-9A Reapers. Significant investments are being made in drone infrastructure, with around 1 billion PLN allocated so far and an additional 900 million PLN planned for a logistics center. The defense budget for drones and anti-drone systems is projected to reach 26 billion PLN by 2026, reflecting lessons learned from the Ukraine conflict. Training for drone operators will expand to all military preparation classes starting next September, emphasizing the need for skilled personnel in this area.
