The forint has been falling for days, it hasn't been this weak in two weeks
The Hungarian forint has weakened for the third consecutive day, particularly after the presentation of next year's budget. The euro nearly reached 367 HUF, marking the weakest level in over two weeks. The dollar also saw a similar decline, briefly exceeding 327 HUF. Analysts suggest that uncertainties surrounding Hungary's entry into the ERM-2, which requires at least two years of currency stability, contribute to this trend. Additionally, rising oil prices, increasing yields on French and US government bonds, and geopolitical uncertainties are negatively impacting international investor sentiment.
