Even a 500 PLN fine for decorations on All Saints' Day. Forest rangers are conducting inspections.
The campaign "Stroisz 2026" aims to protect Polish forests from illegal collection of natural materials for decorations. Forest rangers emphasize that taking branches, moss, or other vegetation can harm young trees and the ecosystem. Inspections are conducted from October 19 to 31, including checks at sales points and vehicle trunks. Violators face fines up to 500 PLN, with serious cases potentially going to court. Buyers are also responsible for ensuring the legality of their purchases. Additionally, authorities urge cemetery visitors to properly segregate waste, as improper disposal can lead to fines.
