The Netherlands will face two storms this coming weekend: 'A hefty amount of rain'
Storm Austen is set to hit the Netherlands on Friday, bringing strong winds and rain, particularly affecting the southern provinces. The KNMI has issued a yellow warning for Zeeland, South Holland, North Brabant, Gelderland, and Limburg. Although the storm will weaken as it moves northeast, strong winds will persist, especially at sea. A second storm, Boelo, is expected to arrive on Saturday from the north, bringing additional rain and wind. Both storms have been classified by the UK weather service, but their main impact will be felt outside the Netherlands, with potential wind gusts reaching force 9 in some areas.
