Dutch economy continues to grow despite global unrest
The Dutch economy continues to perform well, growing by 0.6% in the last three months, slightly less than the previous quarter. Year-on-year, growth stands at 2.1%. The industrial sector, particularly machinery, has significantly contributed to this growth. Consumer and government spending have also increased, with more purchases in food and clothing, and a rise in public sector jobs, particularly in police and defense. Despite global uncertainties, the economy is exceeding expectations, prompting the IMF to revise its growth forecasts for the Netherlands. The country has managed to mitigate the impacts of the Iran conflict on oil and gas supplies and benefits from improvements in the German economy.
