"This is not what was promised, we definitely need to hold negotiations" – the healthcare workers' chamber considers the funding allocated for salary increases insufficient.

Recent communications indicated a higher wage increase for healthcare workers than what was announced. Balogh Zoltán from the Hungarian Chamber of Healthcare Professionals expressed disappointment over a reduced wage increase of 15% instead of the promised 25%, effective next year. The chamber was surprised to learn that the funds allocated would also benefit 20,000 other workers in the healthcare sector. Balogh criticized the short time given to review proposed amendments to healthcare service laws and noted a lack of consultation with the Ministry of Health. The ministry stated that the wage increase would affect approximately 123,000 workers, with an average increase of 15%, potentially reaching 17% with tax reductions. They aim to retain existing healthcare professionals and ensure a steady supply of new ones, which could lead to better patient care.
