The bank should speak up before there is a problem with the account, not after.

The EOS Group's recent Banking AI Barometer study explores European consumers' attitudes towards AI in banking. Acceptance of AI varies based on context, with 29% preferring AI for sensitive banking issues, rising to 38% among 18-34 year-olds. However, trust in AI's performance in understanding and problem-solving is low, at 35-39%. Over half find AI useful for information retrieval and appreciate 24/7 availability. Despite these advantages, 60% miss human interaction, indicating AI cannot fully replace personal connections. Consumers desire proactive AI solutions, with 61% wanting alerts for potential overdrafts and 51% valuing personalized payment plans. Those with past payment difficulties are particularly receptive to AI solutions.
