Netanyahu denounces irregularities in the Israeli elections
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged voters to participate in the elections, accusing Arab Israeli opponents of attempting to 'steal' the election. Despite being behind in polls, he emphasized the importance of voting during a press conference after casting his ballot. Allegations arose regarding the detention of three leaders from an Arab-majority party, accused of carrying cash envelopes, although this claim remains unverified. The opposition party Yashar! reported deliberate manipulation of ballots and plans to file a formal complaint. The Central Election Commission dismissed these claims, stating no evidence of irregularities. Voter turnout reached 16.7% by 10 AM, slightly higher than the previous election. Over 7.3 million Israelis are voting to elect 120 Knesset members, with polls closing at 10 PM.
