Netherlands announces 500 million euro military aid package for Ukraine

The Netherlands will send a military aid package of 500 million euros to Ukraine, as announced by President Zelensky after his visit to The Hague. This support is crucial for countering Russian air attacks. Discussions between Zelensky and Dutch Prime Minister Jetten also covered the U.S.-mediated peace process and cooperation in energy and defense. Additionally, a separate non-military aid package of 1.2 billion euros was announced for Ukraine's economic recovery. The Netherlands has been a strong ally of Ukraine, previously providing F-16 jets and contributing to military equipment funding.
