It's ridiculous and pathetic that they are picking on this – Orbán's team defended Nagy Márton and Szalay-Bobrovniczky
Former Prime Minister András Kármán criticized the current government for launching a smear campaign against previous ministers, particularly regarding travel expenses. The Ministry of Finance filed a complaint against former Minister of National Economy Márton Nagy, alleging mismanagement and budget fraud related to his official trips abroad. Kármán stated that the damages could exceed 100 million HUF. Nagy traveled extensively during his tenure, visiting 51 cities in 32 countries, with significant accommodation costs. The government defended the legitimacy of these trips, asserting they were authorized and necessary. Similar scrutiny was directed at Defense Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky, who reportedly spent 794 million HUF on military flights for official trips. The government dismissed these allegations as baseless and emphasized the ministers' contributions to national interests.
