NFZ received an additional 3.36 billion zlotys. The money will go towards overperformance
The National Health Fund (NFZ) in Poland has allocated additional funds to cover medical services and medications exceeding contract values for the second quarter of 2026. This includes funding for unlimited services and chemotherapy drugs. NFZ's financial plan was adjusted to ensure these costs are met, with a total budget now nearing 37 billion PLN. However, there are still outstanding payments owed to hospitals for services rendered in previous years, amounting to approximately 3.5 billion PLN. NFZ has also released 333 million PLN from its reserve fund to support contracts until the end of 2026, focusing on specific regions.
