No one is interested in the former hospital. "The talks ended in failure"
The history of pediatrics in the area dates back to the early 20th century with the establishment of the Children's Hygiene Institute. Over the years, it evolved into the Children's Diseases Clinic and later housed the Children's Clinical Hospital until its relocation in 2015. The building at Marszałkowska has remained vacant for two years, with graffiti covering its facade. The Warsaw Medical University has been attempting to lease the property since 2024, but negotiations have failed due to zoning restrictions and lack of parking. The university is considering giving the building an educational function, similar to another renovated wing. However, there are no funds allocated for facade restoration, and the building continues to deteriorate.
