"Has no competencies". The head of the Constitutional Tribunal issued a statement
Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, head of the Constitutional Tribunal, stated that the Supreme Court lacks any authority over the Tribunal and its judges. She emphasized that the Supreme Court's recent order regarding a break in the Tribunal's activities has no legal consequences. According to her, the Constitution and the law from November 30, 2016, grant exclusive jurisdiction to the Constitutional Tribunal regarding its judges. She clarified that any disciplinary actions against Tribunal judges must be handled internally by the Tribunal itself, not by the Supreme Court. Korwin-Piotrowska concluded that any Supreme Court rulings related to the Tribunal's operations would not have legal effects.
