Don't throw away chrysanthemums after November 1st. How to give them a second life?

Chrysanthemums are mostly perennials, but not all can survive Polish winters outdoors. Potted varieties are more challenging to winter, though they can be kept in a cool room. Garden chrysanthemums are hardier and often labeled as frost-resistant, while potted ones are less cold-tolerant. To winterize, bring the plant indoors before the first frost, trim the stems, and place it in a cool, bright spot. Water sparingly and monitor for health issues. If you have a frost-resistant variety, it can be planted in the ground before the soil freezes. In spring, move the pot to a warmer location, resume watering, and consider repotting or dividing the plant. Regular pinching encourages bushier growth.
