Bishop Paweł Socha has died. He called on bishops to change pastoral care

Bishop Paweł Socha passed away at the age of 91, remaining active in pastoral work until his last days. He advocated for a shift in pastoral approaches during a recent conference, emphasizing the need for listening to God's guidance rather than focusing solely on statistics. Born in 1935, he was ordained a priest in 1958 and became a bishop in 1973, appointed by Pope Paul VI. He served in various church committees and participated in significant synods. After resigning in 2009, he continued his ministry until 2012. He received numerous honors for his contributions, including the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
