A bear locked itself in a car. Recording
In Juneau, Alaska, a bear entered an unlocked car early Monday morning, triggering a neighbor to call 911 after hearing the horn. Police arrived, woke the owners, and attempted to free the bear, which had damaged the vehicle's wiring. They used a rope to open the door and released the bear within ten minutes. The car's interior was severely damaged, with bent metal and torn seats, as the bear struggled to escape. The vehicle's owner, Michael Wilson, noted increased bear activity in the area due to a late spring and limited food sources. The bear also visited two other cars that night.
