Germany deported 40 convicted of serious crimes to Afghanistan
A group of 40 Afghan men, convicted of various crimes in Germany, was deported back to Afghanistan. German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt emphasized the importance of returning criminals to their home country as part of migration policy. The deportation involved authorities from ten German federal states and has seen a total of 303 Afghan men deported since the current government took office. The first mass deportation after the Taliban regained power occurred in 2024, with subsequent operations conducted directly to Kabul. Protests against these deportations have taken place at several German airports, criticizing the government's cooperation with the Taliban.
