Unofficially: Donald Tusk has agreed to new members of the NBP board
On November 2, Finance Minister Andrzej Domański met with NBP President Adam Glapiński to discuss the appointment of four new board members. Prime Minister Donald Tusk is expected to approve these appointments to avoid further conflict following recent tensions regarding the Constitutional Tribunal. The new members include Marta Kightley, Ludwik Kotecki, Przemysław Litwiniuk, and Marcin Zarzecki. However, with Adam Lipiński's term ending on November 4, the NBP board may fall below the legal minimum of six members, creating a potential governance issue. The appointments require Tusk's signature, which has been delayed since February, despite the President's prior approvals.
