Disabled Poles have a problem with RCB alerts. The vocabulary is too specialized

In Poland, over 5 million people with disabilities receive emergency alerts from RCB, but many find the messages unclear and difficult to understand. Experts highlight that the language used is often too technical, making it hard for individuals with cognitive difficulties to comprehend the instructions. Additionally, the alerts do not provide adequate guidance on what actions to take, particularly for those with mobility impairments who may struggle to reach safe locations quickly. The situation has been exacerbated by past crises, such as floods, where communication barriers were evident. Experts call for improved education on safety measures and better coordination to ensure that emergency information is accessible to all, including the deaf and those with intellectual disabilities. RCB has acknowledged the need for clearer communication and is working on adapting its messaging to better serve diverse needs.
