New spatial implementation plan for Hulsterweg in Tessenderlo: "Balance between living and commerce"

Key areas include the site near the MAX school campus and the roundabout by the cemetery. The plan was previously suspended in 2022 due to objections from residents, prompting a reevaluation. The school site is designated for public use, with potential residential development if the school relocates, which depends on safety regulations related to the Vynova chemical company. Commercial zones will remain on both sides of the railway, focusing on larger businesses. Residential areas will be expanded, allowing deeper construction on existing plots. The council awaits a safety report before final approval.
