An unusual cloud over Bystrzyca Kłodzka. "It is often mistaken for a UFO"
A unique cloud formation was observed over Bystrzyca Kłodzka, attributed to air masses from the south interacting with the local topography. Meteorologist Arleta Unton-Pyziołek explained that the Altocumulus lenticularis cloud, often mistaken for UFOs, forms in the middle troposphere due to mountain waves. This phenomenon occurs when moist air flows rapidly over mountains, creating lens-shaped clouds. On the day of the observation, wind gusts in the area reached speeds of 50-60 km/h, contributing to the cloud's formation.
