Extraordinary history lesson: Tarnów will once again bury its most powerful owner

A two-year exploration of the Tarnów Cathedral's crypt revealed the remains of historical figures, leading to a planned reburial ceremony. This event aims to honor the Ostrogski family and educate the public about their significance in Tarnów's history. The ceremony on November 6 will include a procession and a memorial mass led by Bishop Andrzej Jeż. The remains will be temporarily placed in the bishop's crypt before returning to renovated sarcophagi for public viewing. The event is part of preparations for the city's 700th anniversary in 2030.
