NKA case: The court extended Balázs Bús's detention

The Kecskemét District Court has extended the detention of Balázs Bús, implicated in a corruption case involving the National Cultural Fund (NKA). The prosecution suspects that the NKA's decision-making body unlawfully approved over 1,079 grants exceeding 17 billion HUF, causing significant financial harm. The investigation indicates that the NKA was misused for illegal activities under the direction of former Minister Balázs Hankó. Bús, along with other officials, was arrested in late June, and further arrests related to budget fraud occurred in September and October. The court's decision to extend Bús's detention is not final.
