At the top of the `ranking`, the exams reflect the internal grades
The national exams reflect internal grades closely in top-performing schools, with minimal discrepancies. Last year, 21 schools showed less than one point difference between exam averages and internal grades. The Grande Colégio Universal in Porto had the highest exam average, closely matching internal assessments. In contrast, many schools, particularly public ones, exhibited significant gaps, with 79 institutions showing discrepancies over four points. The Escola Portuguesa da Guiné-Bissau had the lowest performance, highlighting the correlation between external evaluations and overall student performance. Private schools generally had smaller differences compared to public schools, indicating a trend in grading practices.
