"Qualified personnel cannot be found", Sicindustria trains electricians in Argentina
Seven Argentine electricians have arrived in Sicily, with 18 more expected soon, addressing the shortage of skilled labor. This initiative, led by Sicindustria, aims to connect training and employment across borders. The project was launched last year in collaboration with Osmosi, a job agency, and is part of a broader discussion on human capital at the Education & Open Innovation Forum 2026. Additionally, Sicindustria is supporting a project to send books to Italian schools in Argentina, fostering cultural ties and maintaining the Italian language among the second and third generations of Italian descendants.
