A new tram line will be built in Krakow. Residents of Azory will finally get it.

Residents of Azory in Krakow will soon benefit from a new tram line connecting the existing Krowodrza Górka P+R loop to a new terminal at the intersection of Weiss and Jaremy streets. The project includes a triangular track near Opolska and Weiss streets, as well as a northern track section towards the railway line. Infrastructure improvements for pedestrians and cyclists are also planned, including new sidewalks and bike paths, along with a Park & Ride facility for 200 cars. The project is funded by the EU, with Krakow receiving up to 172.76 million PLN to cover a significant portion of the costs. The city is now working on obtaining necessary permits and preparing for construction tenders, fulfilling a long-awaited demand for tram service in the area.
