New troubles for Piesiewicz. Investigators from "Zondacrypto" take over his case

The investigation into the disappearance of Sylwester Suszek and the collapse of Zondacrypto is led by Prosecutor Marek Wełna. Recently, another investigative team took over the case against Radoslaw Piesiewicz, who faces charges related to issuing false VAT invoices totaling approximately 9.3 million PLN. This investigation began in March 2025 after the National Revenue Administration reported suspicious activities involving companies linked to Piesiewicz. If convicted, he could face up to 25 years in prison due to the severity of the charges, which also include money laundering. Piesiewicz has been involved in Polish sports administration and is politically connected to Jacek Sasin, a member of the ruling party. Tensions have risen between him and the Minister of Sport following disappointing Olympic results.
