In 2027, the contribution limits for Individual Retirement Security Accounts (IKZE) will increase, with a standard limit of 12,039.60 PLN and 18,059.40 PLN for self-employed individuals. This marks a rise from 2026, where the limits were 11,304 PLN and 16,956 PLN respectively. The limits are tied to the projected average monthly salary in Poland, with the increase reflecting higher salary forecasts. IKZE allows individuals over 16 to save voluntarily for retirement, with tax benefits for contributions made within the annual limit. Unused limits do not carry over to subsequent years.
