New task for state-owned companies: they are to be a model for barrier-free employers
Wojciech Balczun, the Minister of State Assets, signed the Inclusive Employer Charter aimed at promoting a respectful and equal opportunity workplace culture in state-owned companies. Despite this initiative, a recent study revealed that inclusivity is lacking in these firms, with only 9% of respondents considering state-owned companies as suitable employers for people with disabilities. The study highlighted that many employers are hesitant to hire individuals with disabilities due to perceived challenges. However, there is a gradual improvement in employer attitudes, with a new government program, Accessibility 2.0, set to enhance support for inclusivity in the workplace.
