A new piece of Poland. Offshore wind farms will gain

The opening of the T5 terminal at the Port of Gdańsk is a significant step in Poland's energy transformation, enhancing local industry participation in offshore wind supply chains. This investment, valued at 1.2 billion PLN, aims to reduce reliance on foreign infrastructure and boost national security. The terminal will facilitate the installation of wind turbines for the Baltica 2 project, expected to generate 1.5 GW of power by 2027. The project has faced financing challenges but ultimately succeeded in creating over 21 hectares of new port land. The Polish government emphasizes the importance of local content in energy projects, projecting substantial economic benefits from increased domestic supplier involvement.
