The new president of Krakow has decided. He fulfilled his electoral promise

Łukasz Gibała, the new mayor of Kraków, has fulfilled his electoral promise by abolishing six departments established by his predecessor, Aleksander Miszalski. This decision aims to save the city approximately 2.3 million PLN annually, addressing the city's significant debt of around 9 billion PLN. The departments eliminated include education, communal affairs, and social policy, with their functions being transferred to existing units. The restructuring took effect immediately, leading to the termination of the directors' positions. Gibała's administration is also conducting a detailed budget analysis to address financial shortfalls without resorting to loans or bonds.
