NRP Mondego. Military personnel from the Navy acquitted of violating state secrets

Three Navy military personnel accused of violating state secrets regarding the NRP Mondego were acquitted, as the court found the prosecution's claims unfounded. The judge stated there was no evidence that the accused intended to disclose sensitive information or jeopardize state security. Although two of the accused created documents using the ship's onboard computer and shared them with military associations, it was not proven that they aimed to reveal the ship's technical limitations. Furthermore, the information shared was not classified as confidential. Another case involving 13 military personnel who refused a mission related to a Russian ship is still under investigation, with accusations of insubordination.
