Nuno Espírito Santo sacked by West Ham
West Ham has announced the immediate departure of Portuguese coach Nuno Espírito Santo following a disappointing start to the Championship season. The decision came after a recent loss to West Bromwich Albion, which prompted the club to seek a change in leadership to meet its goals. Assistant coach Rui Pedro Silva and goalkeeper coach Rui Barbosa also left the club. The club expressed gratitude for Espírito Santo's efforts and is currently in the process of hiring a new head coach, with Mark Noble, Steve Potts, and Gerard Prenderville taking over interim responsibilities. At the time of his departure, West Ham was in eighth place in the Championship with 22 points, having suffered two consecutive home defeats.
